‘Without them, there’s no us’: Late WWII vet’s grandson says Charlotte black cemetery needs improvements

Beneath the cover of trees in West Charlotte, Cedar Grove is an African American cemetery that leaves many wanting to know more.

“A lot of stories to be told here,” says Warren McNabb, walking through the wooded area with his sister Beverly.

WSOC-TV Joined us and Arborscapes Tree & Landscape Specialists for a volunteer workday cleaning up Cedar Grove

Scotty Olsen and his crew with Arborscapes came out in February to give us another boost in getting the ground clearing done in the cemetery.

Wilson’s World joined the Save Cedar Grove team for a morning review of the project’s progress

Wilson joined the team at Cedar Grove Cemetery to find out more about the project and to help get the word out for volunteers for the ongoing efforts in the historic West End
